Student Team Publishes Cookbook

A Young Enterprise team of Churcher’s College Sixth Form students have created a special cookbook as their chosen business idea. The book, entitled ‘Made By Us’, combines all of their ‘family favourites’ in one easy-to-use recipe compilation.

The students had to not only come up with the recipes for the book, but also the images to go with them and create a marketing and sales strategy. This included writing a blurb to advertise the book which describes “hearty and wholesome recipes which we guarantee to satisfy.”

Team member Grace said, “We came up for the idea of a cookbook as we all have a passion for cooking and the happiness and thankfulness it can spread. We wanted the book to have all the aspects of a hearty, warming family feast. The key marketing point of the book is original family recipes which cannot be found elsewhere, therefore it has a unique aspect which cannot be found in generic cookbooks. The whole team have all been able contribute to the book but also have fun at the same time."
