Joining Nursery and Reception (EYFS)
We believe in a holistic approach to learning and that a relaxed, happy child, who is able to laugh, will learn best. We encourage this from the very first steps of their learning journey in Nursery and Reception, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Places fill quickly at the Junior School & Nursery so early registration is recommended to start your child’s journey here.
The main entry point is at Nursery where we welcome children the term after their third birthday (minimum sessions apply). This ensures a smooth transition into Reception, where they will benefit from establishing routines, meeting teachers and feeling at home in their surroundings, which will lead to an easy start to formal school.
Please get in touch if you are interested in joining Churcher’s College from Reception as places are limited and in high demand.
Whether joining at Nursery or Reception, we will invite your child to a taster session and settling-in sessions to ensure you and your child feel comfortable and familiar with us ahead of starting at school.

Bring your bear and join us at Teddy’s Garden Party! Suitable for families and children aged 2-7.
Fun and games for curious and exploring minds:

Hungry Caterpillar Pre-schooler Event
Date: Friday 20 June 2025, 9.30am - 10.30am
Location: Churcher's College Junior School & Nursery
Bring your pre-schooler for a fun activity, story time and refreshments. Please dress for outdoor activities and all weathers.
