Calling Old Churcherians and Churcher's Parents!
We are looking for volunteers to come and be 'networked' by our students at our Lower Sixth Networking Evening.
This event is being held on Thursday 27 February in the Donald Brooks Auditorium from 7pm to 8pm.
The purpose of the evening is to enable our students to develop and practise their face-to-face networking skills and has always been commented on as very enjoyable by all those taking part as well as being hugely beneficial to our students.
For this event to be a success, we need parent volunteers to come and be 'networked' by the students. Ideally, we’ll have lots of parents from years other than those with children in the Lower Sixth, so students have the experience of meeting people they don’t know.
The evening starts with a volunteer briefing at 6.45pm and will finish at 8pm. Drinks and canapés will be provided as we appreciate many volunteers may come straight from work. There is no requirement for you to have role or sector knowledge, provide contacts or opportunities for the students attending – it is simply to be there for them to practise their communication/networking skills with strangers.
All the pupils will have completed a ‘Networking Skills Workshop’ earlier in the evening to help them understand the value of building a network of business relationships and how good networking events operate.
