Futures Convention

Churcher's College is set to host its annual Futures Convention (previously titled the 'Careers Convention') on Thursday, 6th March 2025 from 6:30pm.
Available to Churcher's College pupils, the Sports Hall will be buzzing with activity as 60 exhibitors gather to showcase a diverse range of career paths and opportunities. For upper school students, this is a golden chance to explore potential work experience placements, setting the foundation for their future careers.
Engaging Talks
The Goodfield Building will be the venue for a series of thought-provoking talks:
- "Churcher's Futures – supporting pupils on their path through school and beyond" by Dr. Kirsty Verney & Mr. Nick Smith
- "Why pupils should not be choosing a career" by Dr. Kirsty Verney
- "Taking a gap year" by Mr. Callum Russell, Independent Gap Advice
Who is Exhibiting?
Exhibitors will be attending from a wide range of sectors and industries including Telecommunications, Law, Architecture, The Armed Forces, Finance and Energy, Healthcare, Design, Speech & Language Therapy, Insurance and Technology plus many more.
Networking Opportunities
Students will have the chance to practice their networking skills, a crucial ability in today's professional world.
Futures Café
Take a breather and refuel at the 'Futures Café' while discussing the wealth of information and opportunities presented.
Who Should Attend?
The Futures Convention is open to Churcher's College pupils in all year groups, as well as their parents, guardians, and even siblings from other schools. However, pupils from the 4th Year upwards are strongly encouraged to participate.
