Last term, lower school pupils in Years 1-3 took part in the Galactic Challenge competition, hosted at Churcher's College, with several local partner schools invited to compete.

They were tasked with designing a luxury hotel settlement on the Moon and had to consider materials, infrastructure, economics, human resources and entertainment.

The Churcher's College team, led by year 8 student Edward, in collaboration with students from Lord Wandsworth College, won the contract overall after presenting their ideas to a panel of expert judges from Imperial College, London and The Space Science Engineering Foundation (SSEF) charity.
