Freddie's Team GB Sailing Success

Congratulations to Second Year pupil, Freddie who was thrilled to be selected for the GB Junior Sailing Team in May this year, and finished in the top 10 at the Irish National Championships this summer.

Sailing has become a passion for Freddie, not only sailing his Optimist single-handed, but also an RS Feva with either his older brother, Charlie or his younger brother, Toby. Toby and Freddie have just won the Autumn Series at Chichester Yacht Club together.

Freddie, who started sailing his optimist when he was eight years old and is a member of Chichester Yacht Club, said: "Sailing for Team GB has been a goal of mine and I’m so pleased to have achieved it. Thinking ahead, I would like to go to the European or World Championships, which are always in beautiful places like Lake Garda and Dubai."

He is working hard to achieve the next level and will hopefully be in Holland for more competitive sailing, next year.
