Churcher’s Entry to ‘The Big Draw Festival 2021’

This term pupils from Churcher’s College once again took part in a national Art initiative called ‘The Big Draw Festival’, the world’s biggest celebration of drawing. 

This year the festival theme is #MaketheChange, a topic which builds on last year’s exploration into the relationship between people and our living environments.

The focus for #MakeTheChange was to discover ways to live in balance with the world around us, to reconnect with each other and demand a better world for future generations.

Pupils were asked to create a leaf from recycled materials that included a handwritten note on the back, their personal pledge to make a change in the way the live their lives for the benefit of the world. All the leaves have been hung on the Churcher’s College ‘Tree of Change’.

This follows 2020’s entry to the festival in which Churcher’s students contributed to a special world map with their personal drawings and thoughts on climate change.
