1C raise £210 for Cancer Research UK

Pupils in class 1C at Churcher’s College Senior School have raised a tremendous £210 for Cancer Research UK.

The troupe of fundraising entrepreneurs organised a school raffle, with tickets costing 50p each and a total of three hamper prizes up for grabs. Several of the pupils then visited classrooms and offices around the school with their hampers, to sell their tickets.

The contents of the hampers were cleverly gathered together with items brought in from home so that there was no cost involved and all the profits raised could go straight to the charity.

Headmaster Simon Williams had the honour of drawing the winners from the large number of entrants and everyone clapped as the final fundraising total was revealed.
