Today marks the beginning of the CyberFirst Girls Competition and Churcher's College is excited to have six teams of 1st and 2nd Year girls taking part.
Throughout the week, the teams will be tackling a range of challenging puzzles during lunchtime, developing their critical thinking and collaboration skills. The competition runs until midday on 27 November and provides an excellent opportunity for pupils to engage with the fast-growing field of cyber security.
The CyberFirst Girls Competition is designed to inspire girls to explore careers in technology, particularly in cyber security. Each team of up to four girls competes to solve challenges covering topics such as cryptography, logic, artificial intelligence and networking. The winners will take home brand new laptops, with the added benefit of prize money for their school.
The aim of the competition is to encourage participants to explore the exciting world of technology and to consider the many opportunities it offers as well as contributing to the wider effort of securing a safe and innovative future online.
We wish all the teams the best of luck.
