Careers Convention 2024

This year’s annual Careers Convention was held on Thursday 7 March with 60 organisations/sector representatives who took exhibition stands in the Sports Hall, and running alongside a series of mini lectures in the Donald Brooks Auditorium.

Approximately 300 pupils and parents attended the event to speak with exhibitors about their company, sector or job speciality and to listen to short, informative talks, in the mini lecture series.  

In addition to a 'Gap Year Focus', where a variety of organisations shared useful advice around planning a gap year and some of the exciting opportunities available, we were also pleased to welcome speakers from Defra APHA and Ernst & Young, among others. Additionally, we welcomed back Old Churcherian Toby Swindells, who shared his personal journey entitled, "From Churcher’s Student to Property Professional”.
