Careers Events Highlight Future Opportunities

The Careers and Higher Education Department are having a busy time this term.

Students have taken part in two great Career Bites; one on CV Writing and Recruitment and the other about Careers in Intelligence and Communications.

We also held two successful launch sessions for our amazing team of over 50 volunteer interview coaches.

Interview coaching has now started for the Upper Sixth with two recent evenings of coaching and a further 10 evenings in the second half of the Spring term. In addition, we enjoyed a brilliant visit to BAE Systems.

Coming up, we have the Lower Sixth Networking Evening; Higher Education Evening with guest speaker Mike Nicholson from the University of Cambridge, and a visit to the UCAS Discovery Exhibition in Brighton; the Careers Convention for the whole school on 16 March; a talk by local Magistrates followed by a visit to Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court and a ‘Mock Trial’ hosted by The Lawyer Portal. The Oxbridge and Medical Programmes are also well underway.
