Gabe Completes Competent Crew Sailing Course

A big well done to Fourth Year Gabe (pictured at the helm above), a CCF Royal Navy cadet, who has successfully completed the Competent Crew level as part of a yacht sailing course. 

The course, organised by CCF Royal Navy Headquarters, included nine cadets on board a 49ft training yacht, sailing around the Solent. The cadets experienced a mix of weather which was at times rather challenging; at one point they contended with gusts of up to 35 knots. 

Gabe is now looking forward to taking the Day Skipper course level, once he turns 16.
