In the last week of lockdown, Fourth Year R&P students had a virtual visit from Explore, a charity that works with students to help them understand the nature of healthy relationships.

The visit ties in with the students’ GCSE specification. The students gained valuable insight hearing from real people about how faith informs and affects their lives in terms of personal relationships.

The facilitator Liz wrote:

We love coming to meet the students at Churcher's College, they always have insightful questions and are willing to participate in discussion. This year has been a little different and we have meet year 10 over Zoom. It was a real credit to the students that they were able to engage in this different format; they met two of our couples Jason and Fiona, and Rod and Eugiena, and both couples really enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. We hope from these sessions the students have gained skills for and a hopeful outlook on long term relationships as whether they be romantic or platonic, good long term relationships are so important for good mental health and happiness throughout our lives.
