Pizza Under the Stars

The A Level Physics students enjoyed their twilight visit to the South Downs Planetarium for the very special “Pizza under the stars” event.

Here, Dr John Mason led them through the life cycles of stars and the very early universe with his exemplary knowledge, understanding and buckets of enthusiasm. Dr Mason has been an expert guest on the “Sky at night” BBC programme on many occasions.

48 students attended this year and were treated to a mid-interval supper of pizza and soft drinks, before heading back into the auditorium for their virtual star gazing adventure.
