Discovering Careers in Maths, Chemistry & Physics

Over 60 pupils and 30 adult-volunteers attended a fantastic breakfast networking event ‘Coffee, Croissants and Careers’ on Friday 20th September in the Pavilion at Churcher's College Senior School.

The focus was on careers using Maths, Chemistry and Physics with pupils from the Fourth Year up spending five minutes per volunteer networker to learn all about careers in these fields as well as hearing ‘real-life’ stories of how degrees and qualifications in these subjects carry into the world of work.

In an hour and a half pupils had gleaned droves of information, made great contacts and even arranged some work experience.

Well done to all the pupils for being so engaged and enthusiastic and to our volunteer networkers for their time, energy and commitment to ‘Careers and HE’ at Churcher’s.

Our next ‘Coffee, Croissants and Careers’ event is on Friday 18 October and will concentrate on Media and Journalism.
