Career Bites: 'Coffee, Croissants and Careers'

Our inaugural ‘Coffee, Croissants and Careers’ event took place early one Friday in March.

On a beautiful spring morning, Sixth Form pupils converged on the Pavilion where a continental breakfast was waiting to ensure that all were suitably fuelled to meet an incredible range of inspiring ‘networkers’ working in the PR, Advertising, Marketing and Brand sector.

Our networkers gave a brief introduction about themselves explaining their current role and how they got there. They were all asked what they would like to have known at the age of the pupils attending the event.

Many wise nuggets were shared including ‘do what you are passionate about and money and success will follow’, ‘say yes to any work experience or opportunity available to you’ and maybe most important ‘don’t worry!’. These introductions certainly broke the ice and a wonderful hour of serious, but relaxed, networking followed.
