OC Update: Sam Gibson (2005)

Here is an update on Old Churcherian Sam Gibson who left Churcher’s College after Sixth Form in 2005.

Sam went on from Churcher’s to attend Goldsmith's University from which he graduated in 2009 with a degree in History and History of Ideas.

He moved first to Buenos Aires and then Oaxaca, Mexico to work on a book project. In 2012 Sam was awarded a fellowship at Stanford University where he studied in the Latin American department and taught Spanish there.

Sam later completed a doctorate in June 2018 with a book about the Mexican Drug War. He married Natalie Rose Babcock in Ukiah, California in June 2018.

Currently Sam is living in Los Angeles working as a screenwriter on an upcoming AppleTV show about the Cuban Revolution.
