It has been my lifelong dream to become an actor, and during my time at Churcher’s I have begun to see that dream become more of a reality. I had my first paid acting job at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2017, and it meant that I would have to miss many of my lessons, so I would have to work extra hard to make up for the lost time.

The past year has been tough with some big and unexpected challenges but Churcher’s has been brilliant at supporting me. My teachers gave up lots of their free time to give me extra help sessions to catch up on all the lessons that I had missed - and I owe my results today to them.

Not only did I miss lessons because of my acting, but last year I had also been quite unwell. Both of my lungs had collapsed at various points last year, so I had been in and out of hospital throughout 2017. I had an operation on one of my lungs during the Easter holidays and will be having another one later in the year. Churcher’s has been great at supporting me through this difficult time and I am absolutely thrilled to come out with these results.

Next year I plan to act as much as I can, I am a member of the National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Music Theatre which both have taught me so much already. My next appearance will be at the Winchester Theatre Royal as a production of “Taming of the Shrew” for the Petersfield Shakespeare Festival in which I played the role ‘Hortensio’ transfers there for a limited run at the end of August. For now, I’m learning by doing and having the time of my life!
