Inspiring Assembly on Language Learning

Two Old Churcherians recently came into school to deliver an inspiring assembly about language learning.

Alysia and Jess shared their genuine, fresh view on their journey with languages, both of whom graduated from the University of Exeter last summer.

They relayed their experiences of time spent abroad discovering new cultures and gaining fluency in several languages.

Their message was very much 'give it a go' and to not think about the big picture but instead to focus on the small steps along the way whilst studying a language - competency comes with time and, ultimately, the rewards of being able to speak to someone else in another language are immense.
