Harry Charles, who left Churcher's at the end of his Lower Sixth year in 2017, has just won a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Making his Olympic début, just four weeks after breaking his wrist, he secured gold in the Team Showjumping Final which took place at the Château de Versailles. Second to go for the GB team, he pulled off a superb clear round with no penalties, which he has described as "the round of my life". With his two fellow team members gaining only one time penalty each, it meant Great Britain won the team event for only the third time ever, finishing two points ahead of silver medallists the United States.

The last time Great Britain won gold in the Team Showjumping event was at London 2012, when the team consisted of Harry's two team mates from today and his father, Peter Charles.

It was a hugely impressive performance from Harry, Old Churcherian and Olympic Champion.
