Celebrating Women in Technology

In recognition of International Women’s Day this year, and linking in with our STEM Week, children at the Junior School & Nursery were tasked with a research project which would celebrate women in technology.

Pupils were asked to choose a famous woman from history who helped shape the field of technology and were encouraged to present their findings in the most creative way they could, such as

• Designing a presentation showcasing their chosen person’s talents and achievements
• Using Minecraft to illustrate an important idea they had
• Creating a stop motion animation to explain why they have been so influential

There were so many wonderful entries across the year groups which have all been collated into an interactive‘Padlet’ board which can be viewed below. You can explore each entry by clicking on the item to open it.
