Sam West Performance Above Par

Sam West (Fifth Year) has become the U16 English Schools Golf Association Champion.

After winning the Hampshire Schools U16 and U18 Golf Championships at Cams Hall in October 2017, Sam progressed to the English Schools Golf Association U16 National Championships on 23 July 2018. Over 36 holes, Sam shot level par to win the tournament by one shot.

Winning this enabled Sam to play his first International match, England V’s Wales at Llanwern Golf Club on 27th August, which England won 7 v’s 5.

Sam has played in 33 qualifying UK events over the 2018 season so far and last weekend achieved a personal goal of playing off a ‘scratch’ handicap (0).
