OSCAneers Tackle Brecon Beacons

This year’s Brecon expedition was a success story. Oscaneers pushed themselves to go beyond their comfort zone by caving, abseiling a high quarry, climbing, walking up hill in strong winds, rain or hot sunshine depending on the group.

Many were excellent at helping out at base, completing their chores quickly and efficiently, which meant they had longer to relax and chat about the day’s adventures.

The weather was quite good and allowed a dip in the mountain stream for the groups earlier in the week, and plenty of delicious ice cream. All enjoyed the indoor climbing centre and tried many of the activities on offer there. 

Overall, OSCA 2017-2018 was a great success and created memories to last a life-time.
