Model United Nations

Reigate Grammar School kicked off the Model United Nations circuit on Saturday 1 October 2022.

We were settling into the school year when our budding diplomats turned their attentions to issues of global concern. Representing a diverse blend of countries including Cuba, Libya, Finland and India, our senior delegates busily started preparing.

A range of topics were debated in different committees: the illegal drugs trade, vaccine mandates, crypto currency and ISIS prisons.

Our club had to work hard and think fast, debating and lobbying to successfully get their resolutions passed. As well as all of this, the students were conducting the debate against pupils from other schools whom they had never met and for some there was the added challenge of this being their first ever conference.

As always, the pupils' passion, commitment and resilience were clear to see - well done, all!
