19 Upper Sixth students presented their projects at the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) Forum last week.
This marks the culmination of over a year’s worth of hard work and it is a massive achievement for them to get to this stage in the journey.
The projects on display ranged from the fall of Constantinople, to an 1830’s replica Cricket bat, to the main antioxidants that protect against reactive oxygen species in the body. Sixth Form student Mara even had virtual reality goggles so visitors could explore her multifunctional apartment that she designed in CAD.
Head of Economics, Deputy Head of Sixth Form, Teacher of Politics and EPQ Co-ordinator Mr Hill said: "It is astounding the ideas students decide to pursue when they are given this level of freedom. Not only is the EPQ highly valued by universities, it is the only opportunity students have to study something entirely of their own design at A Level. That is why it is so rewarding. I want to congratulate all of these students involved, plus the other seven students who are presenting at different times."
