16+ (Year 12) Entry
Each year, we welcome around 50 new students into the Sixth Form from a wide range of local schools, joining an existing year group of approximately 100 pupils. To help new joiners settle in socially and academically, we offer an orientation day for all Sixth Form students in July, followed by a two-day induction programme at the start of September.

Entry criteria for Sixth Form
- Competition for places is strong and the application process for external candidates includes an interview with the Headmaster and Head of Sixth Form. Offers are made post-interview subject to achieving the following GCSE grades: 33 points from top 6 GCSEs with preferably a 7 or above in two subjects you would like to study at A Level.
- Places are then confirmed once the GCSE results have been published and conditional grades have been met.
- We welcome candidates with particular interests and talents in art, music, performing arts, sport and many other fields.
